What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser that let a site remember information between visits. This page describes the cookies set by both of our properties — the marketing site (israelvisa.co.il) and the secure portal (frontend02.israelvisa.co.il).
What this site sets
The marketing site (israelvisa.co.il) itself sets no cookies of its own. However, the cookies issued by the secure portal are scoped to the whole israelvisa.co.il domain, so if you have used the portal they may be present in your browser while you browse this site too.
Essential cookies from the portal
When you use the secure portal, our API issues the following cookies. They are needed so you can sign in, use the registration forms and manage your application.
| Name | Who sets it | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| imsession | Portal / API | session identifier holding your sign-in state | browser session (the server-side record expires after 30 minutes of inactivity) |
| XSRF-TOKEN | Portal / API | cross-site request forgery protection | 30 minutes |
| reg_sid | Portal / API | keeps the registration wizard going | 30 minutes |
| fp_sid | Portal / API | keeps the password-reset flow going | 15 minutes |
| refresh_token | Portal / API | renews your sign-in without re-entering credentials | browser session |
Analytics (Google Analytics) — only after consent
We may load Google Analytics on both properties to measure aggregate use. Loading is conditional on your explicit acceptance via the banner. Until you press "Accept", Google Analytics is not loaded and the cookies in the table below are not set. If you press "Decline", they are not set.
| Name | Who sets it | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | distinguishes visitors | up to 2 years, set by Google | |
| _ga_<stream> | keeps session state for the analytics property | up to 2 years, set by Google |
Browser storage
Alongside cookies we also use the browser's localStorage — simple on-device storage that is not sent to our servers unless our code explicitly asks. We describe it here because a cookie policy that ignores browser storage is incomplete.
- iv_lang — your language choice. Both properties.
- iv_consent — your answer to the cookie banner, stored separately on each property, which is why you may be asked twice.
- On the portal we additionally keep sign-in tokens and your account details in browser storage so the application works; these are cleared on sign-out.
Third parties
When a page loads, your browser may contact external services we use. These requests expose your IP address and browser details to those third parties, even where they set no cookies. On both properties: Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com), the jQuery CDN (code.jquery.com) and the Negishim accessibility widget (negishim.com). On the portal additionally: a flag-image service (flagcdn.com). We cannot state whether these providers do or do not set their own cookies.
Withdrawing, changing or deleting
To change or withdraw your analytics consent, use the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of each property. Your choice is stored separately on each of our properties, so it needs to be made on each. Deleting cookies and localStorage through your browser settings (clear site data) removes everything described here, including the portal tokens, your language choice and your consent choice.
The portal
The secure portal at frontend02.israelvisa.co.il uses the essential cookies described in the table above. Further details on data processing are in the Privacy Policy.
